Giving Back ~ Martin's Journey of Hope
All was quiet, out on the street
I was lonely, with no one to meet
Until, I met a guy
He had that sparkle in his eye
He told me there is a place
Where I could rest for awhile.
We drove in his car for half the day.
Not a word spoken nothing to say.
Have I had enough of doing it my way?
I guess it’s time to do it his way.
We pulled up to the door of that place
He gave me shoes, and said Go shave your face.
He showed me my room
And said get some rest
See you tomorrow, God Bless.
The next morning I saw him again
He asked, “How are you my friend?”
He said “You look better today
Come on let’s go to the chapel and pray.
Later on he came back to talk to me.
He smiled and said Welcome to the ARC
If you want to stay, sign right here
You’ll learn so much in half a year!
I prayed Lord
Help me see these six months through.
I’m going to stay,
I’m going to stay here and listen to you.
I thank you Lord
I choose to follow you.
I praise you Lord
For all those things you do.
