He was a righteous man chosen by God,

to raise His only son

When an angel appeared to him in a dream

and his journey had just begun

To take Mary as his lawful wife

And guide her by the hand

To a place, where it was safe

to carry out His plan

 

A compassionate man, with integrity

A man within God's sight

Followed a star, to the place,

where they would spend the night

When they got there,

the inns where full

So he did the best he could

He welcomed them one by one

Then he quietly watched in awesome wonder

As they adored the newborn son

To be a father, to such a child
