Releases Debut Album
The talented musician from Carpinteria is set to release his exciting debut album, a move which will thrill his army of fans across the country.
Martin Topham is preparing to release his debut album Friday February 18th, 2011, marking a huge stage in the career of the multi-talented Christian singer-songwriter. Martin, who lives in Carpinteria, California , has just put the final touches to the album, and is now preparing for the imminent release that will hopefully build upon his fan base and get his music heard by more people than ever.
The album, ‘Make Me Whole’, consists of thirteen original songs from Martin, each providing a combination of his high-energy guitar & piano playing, melodious vocals and heartfelt lyrics. The rhythmic undercurrent bears testament to his amazing musical talent, his ability to pick up any instrument and play it.
The theme of the album underlies the changes that Martin has gone through over recent years, the biggest of which is the Lord coming into his life "making him whole" . It was this that allowed him to thrive off the new opportunities presented to him, to explore fresh sounds and develop his musical style.
Martin Says "I want to give back what was freely given to me. This inspired me to write the song "Giving Back". " Giving Back" is about hope. God changing lives. "
Martin has said of his work: “My interest for music started early. I wanted to play guitar, that was it. I was fascinated at the age of 7. My father gave me my 1st guitar when I was 9. I took lessons and in Jr. High School I joined my friend who played the drums and we started a band. Through High School, our band drifted apart, but I still longed to play music."
